A Salute to El Tigre - Simply the Greatest

The Dramatic 18th Hole at Bay Hill

For the second year in a row, Tiger Woods made a dramatic birdie on the final hole to capture the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Country Club. Completing his comeback after serious knee surgery that could have been career threatening, the greatest of all time did what Tiger does, made an incredible birdie at the difficult 18th hole by playing it perfectly. He hit an excellent drive, putting pressure on his playing opponent, Sean O'Hair by outdriving him and forcing him to hit first. O'Hair didn't risk taking a chance shooting directly at the pin and pulled his approach to the left side on the huge green, leaving himself a putt of around 50 feet. Tiger hit his patented high fade on his approach that ended up 16 feet to the left of the hole. The rest is just Tiger doing Tiger. We salute the greatest golfer and one of the greatest athletes of all time.

  1. Tiger is back! I was at the 2000 AT&T Pebble Beach Tournament, so I knew that Tiger had come back from 5 strokes behind before, but I did not expect him to do what he did on Sunday. I think people might enjoy this list, since Tiger and Arnold Palmer are both on it. I'm not sure if Byron Nelson’s record of 18 single season wins will ever be broken.
