Well, over the years it seems that things not only go better with Coke, they also go "deader" (if that is a word). To wit:
Farmers are ingenious people.
Corporate Cola (Coke, Pepsi etc.) sold in India are repeatedly found to have high pesticide levels so farmers there do the logical thing.
It's true that the EC and pH of cola are way off the charts and would be considered hazardous waste of they were to be discharged to a field somewhere, but pesticides? I need more data to back that one.
