Should We Really Listen to Our Doctor?

The Value of Medical "Advice"

Growing up in the 1940's and '50's was very interesting. People (especially my mother) placed great faith in the knowledge and integrity of doctors. It's fascinating how readily people accept the dictates of doctors.

Like stock brokers, the vast majority of doctors are little more than "consensus professionals." They push whatever the consensus says is "good advice" regardless of how obviously deranged it is. Independent thought? Integrity? What's that? I like to consider them to be "body mechanics". When doctors recommend drugs or surgical procedures you must remember that they have been given incentives and more to promote a certain pharmaceutical or medical procedure by powerful corporate interests.

It is ALWAYS a good idea get at least one second opinion, maybe two, three or four.

And don't forget, you can always use your COMMON SENSE. If they screw up, it's your body that will pay the price. To understand what I mean, please watch and enjoy this short one-minute video from earlier times.

Here is what Michael Moore has to say about our healthcare industry. Enjoy the complete movie: "SICKO".
