FDR's Second Bill of Rights

The Second Bill of Rights was a proposal made by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt during his State of the Union Address on January 11, 1944 to suggest that the nation had come to recognize, and should now implement, a second bill of rights. Roosevelt did not argue for any change to the United States Constitution; he argued that the second bill of rights was to be implemented politically, not by federal judges. Roosevelt's stated justification was that the "political rights" guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights had "proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness." Roosevelt's remedy was to create an "economic bill of rights" which would guarantee:

A job with a living wage

Freedom from unfair competition and monopolies

A home

Medical care

Education

Recreation

Roosevelt stated that having these rights would guarantee American security, and that America's place in the world depended upon how far these and similar rights had been carried into practice. Unfortunately, FDR died in 1945 and the hopes for the Second Bill of Rights being implemented died with him. Over the next decade, the power of the banks, corporations and the military industrial complex grew tremendously and threatened the American way of life. At the end of his Presidential term in 1960, President Dwight David Eisenhower warned the American people of the coming dominance of the military industrial complex.

Kennedy was assassinated, the coup d'etat was accomplished, and the Neocons took power in this country, and untold billions were re-directed to corporate interests at the expense of the American people. The Truth About Obama's Birthplace

President Barack Obama has undergone all kinds of accusations and scrutiny about his place of birth. Right-wingnuts, also known as "birthers" have crowded our courts with lawsuit after lawsuit in an effort to have Obama declared to NOT be a "natural born citizen". They claim he was born in Kenya, never mind that his mother was NEVER in that country and there is ZERO evidence to prove she ever was.

They claim that IF he was born in Hawaii, his father was a British subject, and that according to the Constitution, a President must have been born to two American parents. They desperately cling to a document that according to them has never changed. Really? The Constitution says black people are equal to 3/5 of a human being. This document has evolved over the centuries to accommodate the times. It is now considered that a person born in the United States, no matter the nationality of his parents, is a "natural born citizen" and this has been upheld in the courts over the years.

In an effort to diffuse this foolishness, Obama did what any reasonable person would do, he asked for a copy of his birth certificate from the state of Hawaii. That state does what it has done for decades, it provided him with what is called a short-form or "Certificate of Live Birth". The state does not provide the original long-form or vault certificate as a matter of policy, but simply provides a laser copy of the original.

This was a mistake. Phony experts such as some guy using the pseudonym, Dr. Ron Polarik, posted an impressive but mistake-filled analysis of how this birth certificate was falsified. The state of Hawaii responded that they do have Obama's original vault certificate and that this short form copy is a true and accurate representation. This did nothing to dissuade the Orly Taitzs and Philip Bergs of the world to continue their egocentric efforts to raise funds to file even more frivolous lawsuits, and have their 15 minutes of fame.

Well, the truth has been outed. After tireless investigation by the Candid Blogger we can now say with certainty that Obama's birthplace has been found. An admission by the President himself, given at a time of great levity, now rears its ugly head and will surely result in a rush to the courts to file more lawsuits. Here is the President in a moment of self-examination as he admits to his place of birth and also admits to the conspiracy that sent him to America to rule:

Exposing the Anti-Obama Birth Certificate Conspiracy

In an attempt to prevent Barack Obama from assuming the Presidency, an effort was undertaken to discredit him. Several fringe attorneys found a welcoming website for their specious claims (the WorldNetDaily) and used that site and its influence to initiate bogus claims and many lawsuits challenging Obama's status as a Natural Born Citizen and his right to be President. The "attorneys" are people yearning for their 15 minutes of fame and in most cases can be found ASKING FOR DONATIONS. Let's see who these people are whose ego and ethics outweight the interests of the American people and who are trying to disrupt our system of government.

PHILIP BERG: Finding that a Pennsylvania lawyer had committed a "laundry list of unethical actions," a federal judge has imposed more than $10,000 in sanctions and ordered the lawyer to complete six hours of ethics training.

U.S. District Judge J. Curtis Joyner's 10-page opinion in Holsworth v. Berg is packed with criticism of the conduct of attorney Philip Berg of Lafayette Hill, Pa.

"Other attorneys should look to Mr. Berg's actions as a blueprint for what not to do when attempting to effectively and honorably perform the duties of the legal profession," Joyner wrote.

"This court has grown weary of Mr. Berg's continuous and brazen disrespect toward this court and his own clients. Mr. Berg's actions ... are an enormous waste of judicial time and resources that this court cannot, in good conscience, allow to go unpunished," Joyner wrote.

In the suit, Berg is accused of legal malpractice by former clients who claim his failure to respond to an ERISA claim against them led to a default judgment. But the sanctions against Berg stem from his decision to file a third-party counterclaim of fraud against a pension fund that had sued his former clients, according to court papers. Joyner blasted Berg for filing the fraud claim, calling it an "irresponsible decision" because the claim was "utterly barren of any scintilla of legal principles." FULL STORY.

ANDY MARTIN: This Chicago-based egotist refers to himself in all his posts as an "internet powerhouse" and claims a wealth of political and legal experience in Chicago. He also intends to run for public office. His claim to fame is lawsuits filed in Hawaii challenging Obama's place of birth. In an October 27 article, Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz reported that Fox News Channel "now expresses regret for booking [Andy] Martin" -- who, as Media Matters for America has noted, has, among other things, referred to a judge as a "crooked, slimy Jew" and accused African-Americans of being "willing to corrupt and abuse their public offices" -- on the October 5 edition of Fox News' Hannity's America. As Media Matters documented, Sean Hannity hosted Martin -- identified by Hannity as an "Internet journalist" -- to make what Hannity called "the explosive claim that [Sen. Barack] Obama's role as a community organizer was a political staging ground perpetuated by the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers." Kurtz wrote: "[Fox News Senior Vice President Bill] Shine says Hannity disagrees with some of Martin's past comments. 'Having that guy on was a mistake,' Shine says. 'We obviously didn't do enough research on who the guest was.'

Wow! This guy is too controversial for Hannity and FOX News.

LEO DONOFRIO: Donofrio’s challenge had nothing to do with the birth certificate. In fact, he conceded that he believed that Obama was probably born in Hawaii. He challenged on the basis of Obama being a dual citizen with dual allegiance at birth through his father’s conferred British citizenship - Kenya being under colonial rule in 1961. Of course this requirement was made by the first settlers in order to guarantee that the new President would have been born in America of American citizens since everyone's parents came from another country. Over the years the Congress and Supreme Court have accepted the definition to include anyone born in the United States, no matter their parenthood. If we stuck to the original definition according to the Constitution, then blacks would still be considered 3/5 of a human being.

ORLY TAITZ: This lady is a Russian immigrant claiming to be a dentist, real estate agent, and attorney. She is the craziest and most dangerous of all as she apparently has an unlimited source of funds and spreads hatred and misinformation across the Internet. She ignores the facts about Obama's place of birth and on March 28th in the city of Stockbridge Ga. organized a "Grand Jury" that returned an Indictment against Barack Obama!

THE CONSPIRACY

The glue that holds these nutcases together if the WORLD NUT DAILY, also known as WorldNetDaily, a right wing Internet site that promotes anything that will be disruptive to Barack Obama and his administration. Joseph Farah is founder, editor and CEO of World Net Daily. He is of Syrian and Lebanese ancestry, and an early associate of Rush Limbaugh in Sacramento. He is quoted as saying:

Farah has latched on to the Obama birth certificate issue and stated, "It'll plague Obama throughout his presidency. It'll be a nagging issue and a sore on his administration, much like Monica Lewinsky was on President Bill Clinton," and "It's not going to go away and it will drive a wedge in an already divided public." It is Farah and World Net Daily who is the main ingredient in this issue, providing internet exposure for all the nutcase attorneys at a moment's notice. Check out Google and you'll see that most of these stories either originate or are published on this site.

THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Here is an article published about the birth certificate by World Net Daily in which they examined the Certificate of Live Birth and CONFIRMED its AUTHENTICITY. Here's what WND reported on August 23, 2008:

"A separate WND investigation into Obama's birth certificate utilizing forgery experts also found the document to be authentic. The investigation also revealed methods used by some of the bloggers to determine the document was fake involved forgeries, in that a few bloggers added text and images to the certificate scan that weren't originally there".

At no point does the August article express any doubt about whether its "forgery experts" could "report conclusively that the electronic image was authentic or that it was a forgery" as Farah claims; it unambiguously and definitively states that "forgery experts found the document to be authentic."

As for the claim that "At no time did Obama ever make his actual birth certificate available to WND - or any other news organization," here's what the August article also stated:

However, FactChecker.org says it obtained Obama's actual birth certificate and that the document was indeed real. The site discredited some of the claims of Internet bloggers, such as that the certificate as viewed in a scanned copy released by Obama's campaign lacked a raised seal. FactChecker.org also established that many of the alleged flaws in the document noted by bloggers were caused by the scanning of the document.

Indeed, FactCheck.org has stated that it has "seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate," adding, "We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship."

Hopefully, we can put this ridiculous issue behind us. Unfortunately, these attorneys and WorldNutDaily are organized and have huge amounts of funds (from what source nobody knows) and will continue to raise hell as long as there are enough nutcases to support them. We just wanted to point out the conspiracy and its intent which is to disrupt our government from properly functioning and to put more money in their deep and dirty pockets.

A Solution for the Obama Birth Certificate Nutcases

Obama Haters Clogging Courts with Frivolous Lawsuits

There is a legion of Obama haters who just can't accept the fact that he is our President. These self-styled "patriots" are doing everything they can by clogging the courts with frivolous lawsuits and the Internet with anything they can throw. You know who you are. You are Phil Berg, Andy Martin, Orly Taitz, Devvy Kidd, Alan Keyes, Leo Donofrio, Eric Wrotnowski . . . and the list goes on. You have now recruited a couple of lost soldiers who, according to the World Nut Daily, "have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States." They claim that President Obama MUST come forward and prove his citizenship status thus certifying his eligibility.

They wave the Constitution as if it means something to them, yet it occurs to me that what they demand is in direct conflict with our constitutional rights. Since when do you have to prove yourself innocent in this country? Our Constitutional protections include having to be proven guilty. They can't have it both ways.

What actually happened? President Obama requested his birth certificate from the State of Hawaii and was furnished a short-form copy. He submitted it and its authenticity has been verified by the State. In Hawaii, they have not distributed long-form or vault certificates in roughly 30 years as state policy, and the short form is sufficient to get a drivers license, run for office, etc. We verified this policy with the Recorders office. Obama followed the proper protocol. If someone wants to PROVE that he was born in Kenya which would really have to be a miracle since his mama was never in the country, then do so. Until then,

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time. There is one MAJOR HOLE in that theory. Nobody has ever come up with one shred of solid evidence that his mother was EVER in Kenya.

We do know through travel records that his father was in Kenya in 1960, but not again until 1965. That means that if Barack Obama was really born in Kenya in 1961, his father was not there. Now what person in their right mind truly believes that his pregnant 18-year-old mother decided to leave her comfortable home in Hawaii where she was staying with her parents, and travel to Kenya during the late stages of the Mau Mau Rebellion WITHOUT HER HUSBAND, to give birth, then traveled back to Hawaii? IT JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN. The only reasonable conclusion is to believe the state of Hawaii's verification of the authenticity of his birth certificate is true, since the other "option" is so obviously ridiculous.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born. Over the years it has evolved to the following Supreme Court opinion. The SCOTUS has already ruled several times on the definition of “natural born citizen” (PERKINS v. ELG; US v. Wong Kim Ark.)

"It is without question that a citizen born on US soil is natural born."

Case closed.
